Steves secret places of PARIS

Montparnasse Tower - Due west of the Eiffel Tower. Has a glass enclosed cafe at the top with a 360 degree view of the city. Best to go up before sunset to watch the city light up and to watch the sun go down behind the Eiffel Tower. Another reason to get there before the Eiffel lights up, is that when it does light up, for the first hour, 20,000 strobe lights go off every 10 minutes all over the tower. Crazy!

Montmarte - This area was home to working artist studios for people like Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet and Dali. Still lots of artists working in this area. There's quite a few night clubs in the area as well as the Dali museum.

St. Chapelle - Near Notre Dame. Most stained glass of any cathedral in the world. On a sunny day, the room literally glows violet. Not to be missed. Stunning!

Centre Pompidou - THE place to go to check out contemporary design work

Les Puces du Design - Crazy contemporary design market specializing in furniture, decor, accessories, etc
.
St. Germain - historic neighborhood whith lots of coffee shops. kind of the intellectual center of Paris. All the existential writers hung out in the coffee shops here as well as Napoleon in his early years

THANKS STEVE!!!
love Jenna and Stephanie
